Quebec Day 4, St Charles River
However after we started riding, the story changed to getting lost while staying unlost.
How does one get lost while staying unlost you may ask. It's funny, but it may often happen.
We pedaled along the St Charles River following a circular route shown in Google maps. The trail was very scenic and we rode through parks on a shaded path surrounded with flowers...
But after a while, the trail ended.
We continued the journey pedaling on a city Street until a point we were able to rejoin the trail. But the continuation trail was for pedestrians only. So we walked the bicycles,
but first we needed to carry the bicycle down the stairs and cross a bridge to the river's other side.
As we walked, it was possible to take pictures and it would be great if you decided to board your Mindship and joined us walking in a lovely shaded trail.
And joined us in the delight of watching flowers and pollinators flying over them.
Checking the route in an attempt to getting "unlost" by finding where we can find a cycling trail, or to exit to a street where we can continue pedaling.
In the meantime burdwatchers went by and we asked them to take a picture of us:
And we continued walking
Found more flowers on the way:
We continued walking. Went over several bridges and were able to exit the trail and pedal in a street.
We had a nutritious lunch at a restaurant on the way and reached back the bicycling trail.
We saw a memorial for Inuits who lived in this area and the clash of civilizations when French explorers arrived.
Public art display fosters imagination and it is rewarding to integrate ourselves into it.
Thus we concluded our brief Quebec exploration and tomorrow we drive back to Maine.
We are glad thinking that you boarded your Mindship and joined us for this rewarding exploration. Taking pictures and writing stories was our effort to make it possible.
